Elec. Windows and fuel gauge

Mornin, Replaced the steering rack in my 94 TD Espace last weekend now I find that neither front windows work nor the fuel gauge. On feeding the rack through the slot in the chassis, it caught and pulled a 3 core cable which passes under the rack and appears to go to the fuel tank. on inspection the cable appears to be OK. Could the two problems be connected by a shared earth ? and if so where can I find it. Any suggestions gratefully recieved. Berniche

Hi mate, you may have found it by now LOL.

If not try removing the dial cover, the top bit of the dash. it's simple enough there's 2 screws underneath either side of the steering wheel. i'd imagine you've pulled out the plug from the back of the dials. just push it back in hopefully!
