Key card programming

I have a key card from a 2004 scenic that I would like to use as a spare key for my new Grand Scenic. Can this be done?
How much is a dealer likely to charge?
Is there a recommended charge for doing this or are you at the mercy of an individual dealer?

Unfortunately - the key cards are not reprogrammable -the only answer is to buy a brand new card I'm afraid.
Be aware of ebay as well , soome sellers will tell you that cards can be reprogrammed - they can't. Only bid on a brand new card and don't get carried away with bidding - it can be too easy to get carried away and end up paying more than you would have got one from a dealer, add on the postage and you are even more out of pocket. Find out the dealer price first so you know how much to bid if looking on ebay !
Whenever I bid on ebay I always shop around for the best price first and bid accordingly, that way you don't end up paying more.
