Smile Removal of infrared sensor

Hallo can anyone help, i have a problem with my central locking and immobiliser. The key works the door and have been able to use posts on this site to get the bypass code to allow me to drive the car.
However i would like to get to the route of the problem and realise it's a long shot but would like to try the cheaper option of replacing my sensor before trying to get a new key fob. Does anyone know how to remove the sensor without breaking it?
Or any other suggestions on how to solve this problem without paying renault a
small fortune.

Thanks Naomi.

What age is your Megane Naomi, and does it have a square shaped key fob or an oval one?.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
