I used to be a manager within Ford's Customer Relationship Centre, and we dealt specifically with items which were not covered by the vehicle warranty.
If a part fails within the warranty period, and is replaced - it doesn't come with the full part warranty it would have if it had been purchased (weird, I know), it is only covered for the remainder of the vehicle warranty.
If Ford's interpretation of warranty is the same as Renault's, then you may not have warranty protection if it is the same items which have failed.
But don't despair -
should still apply a goodwill payment (as we would've), known faults, a history of concerns, and a full service history, will all help to support a contribution. It may not be 100%, but even that isn't a total negative, as you will receive a full parts & labour warranty on the offending items.
Hope that helps to unmuddy the waters, and best of luck in your claim.
