Hey BraveStarr sorry if my earlier post mislead you, I dont have my car long and haven't got around to any improvements to the sound system yet. I was thinking the same as you, the part is cheap so worth a try and if didn't work I found this article http://www.cabriault.com/meganecc/tips/ipod/meganeipod.pdf which would also be worth a shot.

If anybody else on here has tried and failed or succeeded i would be interested in hearing there experience.

Also if looking for a new stereo how would i tell from specs if it will accept the plug for the remote as I really do not want to loose this. I gather the dashtop displace ( megane 2 ) will not work anymore but will I still have my clock?

Sorry if I hi jacked your thread bravestarr

If you press and hold the button at 9 o'clock on the right with the note on it
you can scroll with the left control through things and one is on mine AUX
on or off turn to on and you may then be able to select it on the source buttons,
there are 3 levels of menu but I cant remember how to get into the 3rd one
were you can set the radio up for car and country.

Be careful checking the country as it may want the radio code and wont
stop bleeping till it gets it so unless you have the code don't do the 2 and 5 thing.

Think you have to hold them down but make sure you have the radio code as mine also asked for it and would not stop bleeping like a sputnik till I entered it.

I have a 2004 laguna with the tuner list radio I bought a connects2 kit that makes the car think it has a cd changer installed there is a 3.5mm jack on the end to connect to your mp3 device although it only ever says track 1 and the scroll option will not change tracks but the usual volume and so on works wonderfully link attached to the sort of thing you would need

Connects2 Ltd

these may be available on local bidding websites
