Exclamation Window Problem!

Hey up chaps!

Ive wrote about this problem this before and i got some threads back thank you very much, but ive still got the problem.

Problem is the front off side window or drivers side window, it goes up and down in stages.

Ok then i have tried the 3 seconds or the 15 seconds or whatever and the problem still occurs, Ive taken the door card off and had a look at the window regulator and to me it looks alryt, ive take the plug out of the window motor and replaced it and the problem is still there.

So am stuck! I went to a renault dealer they say its the regulator but the regulator only makes the window go up and down when you press the switch.

So has you have read the problem above what now to solve my problem?

i would have suggested the reset option by putting the window right up and holding the switch but as you say you've already tried this there's no point.there is a poosbility that you have an intermittant open circuit in the control box attached to the window motor which could cause the problem to re occur.i would suggest a replacement regulator

Is there any noise at all? If yes then it will need a new regulator. I fitted a new one to my frivers door recently and all problems with operation ceased. Note: Prior to the cable snapping I expereienced the same thing, window movement in stages. For reference my regulator came from these guys below:

I fitted the new part myself (Bus fitter by trade)
