I've booked it in with a Renault dealer - interestingly the service managers seems to think that there was a recall to disable the feature of hazards automatically switching on following an emergency stop for vehicles shipped to the U.K.
which is confusing when you kindly gents have expressed experiences to the contrary. I'm suspicious of having anything to do with the Renault dealership at the best of times - am I being lined up to be ripped off with some unnecessary repair work?
I remember mine being disabled when serviced in about 2003: prior to this the hazard lights used to come on under hard as well as emergency braking.
