TBH, I wouldnt use a "Scotchlok" connector ... they are not the most reliable of ways of making a connection ... better using an insulated crimp connector (bullet or spade) and splice in that way ... or if your lucky a piggyback spade connector, but that really depends on the type of connector that Renault have used on the lighter socket.
