Question Back dating headlamps..possible or not?

Hi... My 1999 Laguna mk1 s2 has developed that lovely "frosted" look over the plastic headlamps. A common problem so I am lead to believe. My questions are, has anybody considered back dating the headlamps on their Mk1 S2 Lag...? and, Is it possible without loads of body modifications... ? Any advice greatly appreciated...

If the frosting is on the outside of the headlamp lens it is possible to polish them up using very fine wet and dry and polishing compound.

I've seen quite a few phase 2s with phase 1 headlights and I can't see any reason from doing the opposite why it should be impossible.

I think the actual shape of them is the same,it's just the fixings and connections that are different. As Az says, phase 2 lights have been retro fitted to phase 1's so doing it the opposite way round should be more than acheivable.
