immobilser

Hi, I have a 1998 Renault Clio and the immobiliser has stopped working - Ive narrowed it down and think its the battery or something in the car key itself - I was wondering who I should contact to replace the whole key itself, or how I can open the key case without damaging anything inside to see if perhaps the mother board has cracked and also to find the battery to see what the battery is in order to replace that?? Can anyone help me with this problem? Perhaps even show me how to override the immobiliser...?? There are various youtube demos of how to do this but I can't find MY dashboard - they all have a different irrelevant one to mine. Thank you

Re: immobilser

This forum has rules that prohibit information on bypassing security systems.

Key fob.
Should snap open if you prise the joint line.
They are notorious for snapping solder joints on the PCB.

If nothing recognisable inside, an auto locksmith may be able to help.

No spare key I assume ?

Re: immobilser

Has stated above I am sorry but the forum can't allow advice regarding bypassing any kind of security especially immobiliser's or alarms.

This is.nothing personal so.please don't take it that way..

Hopefully it's the key and someone on here can help you..
