Renault Scenic I - Central locking fault

Evening all,

Today for some reason the drivers door lock failed to lock/unlock with the rest of the central locking. It works manually with the key but when you press the blipper, all of the other doors lock / unlock while the drivers door does not.
You can feel and hear all other door motors working but there was nothing at all from the drivers door. I took the panel off the wiring seems fine so I suspect a fauulty lock motor? Sound about right??

The Scenic has done 92K and is 8 years old.

Replacing the module looks a bit fiddly (and 4 spanners on the haynes manual !) Anyone else had this??
Anyone got any idea of the cost of a new part and the labour time for a garage to fit?

It's no big deal as we can still lock the car and do the drivers door manually (provided the wife actually remembers to!).
Currently in Rob7777's garage:
Renault Scenic 2.0 16v (F4R) 2000 W reg and Volvo V40

Sounds like the motor has failed like you say,a cheaper option is to go to a breakers yard and get the complete catch/motor assembly.
