Just bought the clio and had the timing belt done and serviced by my brother in law mechanic but we can't get the service due light to go off. The buttons on the wiper stalk do not seem to be working, you can press them as much as you want and nothing happens on the display. We have had the diagnostics machine on it and it shows no faults. I have taken the whole stalk out, stripped it out, cleaned everything out, checked all contacts and all seems OK. I am about to buy another stalk to try but hoped someone might have another idea for me try first. And yes, I've tried the reset methods that appear on this site. Cheers in advance. Bob.

Have you been able to get after ignition on ok?
Has it gone over the service schedule?

Do not press any of the pedals
Insert the key card into the ignition slot
Press and hold the start/stop button to turn the ignition on
for at least 5 seconds
Select the 'distance before oil change' page
Press and hold the reset button A
Keep the reset button pressed for 10 seconds
The new service interval appears on the display
The service indicator has been reset
Briefly press the start/stop button twice
if its gone over schedule, then its could be a trip to the agents, as something along the lines of Can Clip is needed

Woo hoo, fixed it. Took the indicator stalk out, stripped it down and found one of the small red wires had snapped off the small multi plug, I managed to get the old broken section of cable out of the multiplug and pushed in the good bit of cable. Put it all back together and it's all working, reset the service light. Funny how the indicator stalk affects the wiper stalk, they are both connected to each other though, so makes sense. The wires are incredibly small and look like they are easily broken.
