Renault Megane Mk3 Central Locking

Hi there own a Renault Megane Mk3 (i think) 2012 1.6 Petrol

Seems to be a common issue having trouble with the central locking. Drivers side door only seems to take an effort to unlock and needs the keycard button to be pressed twice before it will lock the drivers door. All other doors open and lock fine. It usually requires me to keep pressing the keycard unlock button multiple times while pulling the handle at the same time before it may eventually open (usually ends up in me going in through the rear drivers side door and opening it from the inside. Sounds like a mechanical sticking problem but i am not too sure. Have sprayed WD40 on the lock mechanism too no avail. Might sound weird but unlocks more frequently when its raining. Keycard battery changed and it happens with both keycards but still only on the drivers door. Could a possible BSI reset solve it and could a fuse even cause an issue if its only affecting one door. Any helping would be much appreciated.

Thanks

When you look at the door handle, just behind it, on the actual door,..
Can you see a piece about 3cm in length, and 1 and 1/2 in width, pushed into the door.
This is the sensor protective cover,,, try giving this a clean.
Behind this is the magic eye as such.
But with you saying it is okish, when wet, have a look at the sensor cover

Thanks for the reply.

Gave it a good clean still no join sometimes the door can stick half unlocked. I have enclosed a picture of the manual locking slot on the inside portion of the door where the lock is located that usually turns when you lock and unlock it. That sticks when trying to unlock it until you press the keycard enough times.

If I were you, and you have tried what @ours2012 mentioned above, then I would remove the door card and reach up to the lock and , carefully , unplug and replug the harnass connector a couple or three times, it may be a gungy connector on that door and doing what I mentioned will clean off the connectors enough for it to work, if it does work then, I would remove it one more time and give it a good dosing with contact cleaner, both sides, in the lock and the harnass connector, then put it all back together, confirm it still works, the rebuild the car.

P.S. Welcome to the forums
