I would like to fit reversing sensors to my 2013 Megane 3 Estate. There will be 4 wires to route from behind the plastic bumper to the inside of the boot area. So far I haven't found any wires that already run from outside through a convenient grommet. I'm guessing that I'll have to drill a hole somewhere through the bodywork?
Any idea where is best?
Thanks, I looked harder, no spare wheel in this car, but still couldn't find any grommets. I did work out where I could drill a hole through the side of the boot though. The next complication seems to be getting at the reversing light wire as the reversing light is located in the hatch door rather than on a fixed part of the bodywork. I can see that the wires run from the door down into the side of the body. I may need to run the power wire right down inside the door to the light itself?
That reversing wire MUST go through the body somewhere. Mk2's loom runs passenger side.
I would have a look around the passenger rear wheel arch. Might have to remove a few plastics. After all, there's usually a connector where the looms meet. You could hide the box under there too.
Doesn't Mr Haynes tell you anything? May need one for wire colours.
