Renault Laguna - Central locking tailgate

hi everyone i have a problem with my 1996 laguna for some reason the tailgate wont lock with the key fob. the doors lock no problem is there sn easy fix to this without going to a dealer many thanks

I'd pull off the interior trim panel and make sure the solenoid is firmly connected and there's no corrosion in the connections...

Funnily enough, I have the opposite problem - the lock barrel in mine just turns forever and never unlocks the door - of course it's entirely possible that none of the locks on my car work as I've never even thought of sticking a key into the driver or passenger side door to see

Do as Azurael says if it looks ok when you press the button you should get a short burst of 12v dc on the wires if so the motor or actuator depending on the set up on your car is most likely burnt out 38 to 70 depending on which it is.
But a squirt of wd40 may help if it's just seized up.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?
