Any time I have removed the radios there has always been enough room even though space is tight. Is there any possibility the loom may heve been altered or roped into place with cable ties or such. Are there any panels above or below you could remove to aid access

I know what you mean - this is the first time I've been stuck like this - other cars I have removed the radio on have been fine.
On the authentique it seems that the radio was added as an after thought in a plastic 'pod' below the dash. Other models have the radio under the seat.
I uncliped the wires from the ties but they are still not long enough.
Never mind - I will try again.
Thanks for your help.
