Re: Parking sensors

Black, yellow, blue, red these wire come with the sensor all together with a plug.you just connect to the cars corresponding colours and the you are done. What I was saying last night is that I have found the other colours but the red wire coming from the car.

Re: Parking sensors

When the car is in reverse that is the power supply, so you are after the power lead from the switch to the bulb, ..
To do this, set your multi meter on ohms, remove the bulb holder, disconnect the multi plug from the cluster, take out the reverse bulb.
Put one probe on the centre of the bulb holder, put the other probe end on where the multi plug from the car fits on the cluster, once you have found the circuit, thats your connector that the wire needs to go to. work out which pin it goes to..
So if its the third pin from the left, its the 3rd wire from the left,, connect into this
Safer to use this method than back probe,,, no chance of blowing fuses... If thats what you are after,,

The first attachment is the driver rear with red and black attached
Second is the sensor
The third is passenger rear
Last is wires for the sensor
I found the reversing plus the brake light is all so live
My book tells me black - ground
Red - ignition +12
Yellow - reversing +12
Blue - braking +12
I can put the the red, blue, yellow to the red and still have no pleeping
Help
