Angry Dipped Headlights not working

Driving home from work today and noticed both my dipped headlights are no longer working!!They were working last Thursday. My main beam works and my sidelights work.My headlights are xenon but is it likely to be the ballast on both of them or even the bulbs in both? Just for your info i had aircon regas today but cant see that would make a difference.
I have checked the fuses by the dash and they are fine but not the ones under the bonnet as cant seem to find a list showing what they control.
Any clues appreciated before i head down to lsuk again!!

P.S. why do these problems always happen at the end of the week when less chance of a garage sorting it

Sorry for the delayed response.

The fuses in the box under the bonnet do control a part of the dipped beam circuit, but the same fuses run many other things and as it's only the dipped beam not working it's unlikely to be them.

It does seem to be a bit of a coincidence that the lights have stopped working after the car has been worked on,but I'm bu#gered if I can see a link between the dipped beam and the aircon.

EDIT;If you could give some more details on your car it may help a little.I'm guessing it's a Lag 2,but what age is it and what engine does it have?.Thanks.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

yes its a laguna II 2.2dci 2002 have got it booked in at my local lsuk for monday so fingers crossed.I have also looked at the wiring diagram for the headlights and it seems the left and right lamps are fed via different fuses and relays so strikes me as weird that both are not working!
