Megane 07 plate Reg plate light replacement

Hi, new member.

I've checked the FAQs section and articles and can't see this topic which is why I have started this thread.

One if the Reg plate lights went and I went to replace the bulb. When I opened the casing up it looked like this:

The fitting then came loose and the wiring disconnected.

I've ordered a new fitting but I wondered who easy it is to rewire the new fitting?

Any help is appreciated. If there's photos or diagrams that some one can point me in the direction of, all the better.

Thanks.

Re: Megane 07 plate Reg plate light replacement

just unplug old one and plug in new one ..simples

It is easier to take it apart than to put it back together

Thanks but the wires are exposed. I need to connect the wires to the new unit.

Don't think (in my situation) it's a case of unplugging old and plugging new unfortunately.

Simples, Solder & insulate, or Terminal strip (choc Block).

I am a complete novice when it comes to that type of thing so unfortunately it seems I'll need to take it into a garage.

For a start, I don't have any of the materials to solder.

Thanks anyway I hoped there was something even a muppet like me could do!
