My battery has gone flat over the holiday period. It is only two years old. I am currently charging it BUT the alarm keeps going off while charging the car battery. Can I disable it while doing this?

When the car is able to be started, how do I reset the coded keys to be accepted, as once before the car lost contact with the keys and the AA had to be called to sort it.

1st off charging battery should be done with battery disconnected and if possible off car - the key should not lose sync so dont worry about that

Whilst That is the correct way, I have to admit, I don't disconnect.
To stop the alarm, place a 3" block of wood on top of the bonnet alarm switch, then shut bonnet to hold it down.

Loss of card pairing was probably caused by disconnecting battery before car had gone to sleep.
If you do remove battery. WAIT 5 mins after removing Key card, shutting door, before disconnecting. AND consider how you'll Lock it with no battery & regain entry when charged. HTH
