Hello again everyone!

After posting few of my problems, thanks to ppl here I solved them with no problems :)
so here I am again trying to install aftermark keyless entry on my 97' Megane. Since my original IR module died buying new one or used ( prices are almost the same ) I decided to buy one from Ebay.
I tried to install it but couldn't do it ( it did it on my 97' VW Golf with no prob ) so if anyone did it I would like someone to help me figure it out. I'll post pictures of wires from my central lock swich and hazard and ofc diagram of my keyless module

Hi

had similar failure on a Saturn. C/l kept locking and unlocking as you drove around, (before days of the r/c) sometimes the car locked and some times it didn't.

Solution we came up with was to buy a set of remote solenoid locks from a kit car firm on eBay (in Texas .). We disconnected all the original c/l system & wired in the new kit. From memory (25 years ago) it was about $15 a door & trunk, & about another $60 ish for the control unit & remotes.

So I would like to say that I managed to get this working so I'll try to explain how I did it, maybe someone, somebody find this helpful.

In the diagram below I attached picture of Keyless entry system by Bighawk!

For this job you need: Patience, tape and little bit of knowledge about electronics so here we go ( soryy no pictures I was trying to solve this like 3 hours and forgot to take some shots)

1. For more space remove ashtray ( two torx screws ) then HVAC console (also two torx screws )

2. From behind push outwards hazard switch and central locking switch ( flat screwdriver may be helpful if it's stuck but watch those plastic holders that they don't brake )

3. Remove radio/cd player whatever you have ( that's where we are going to "steal" 12v wire and ground )
* if you have original radio then skip this step and I will explain at bottom of this post how to find another source of 12v and ground.

4. *REMOVE BATTERY TO AVOID BLOWING FUSES*. First as we look at diagram we see tbst RED WIRE is 12v and BLACK is GROUND on module.
In radio cut the RED wire and connect RED wire from module. Now when those two wires are connected, the other half of cutted wire ( FROM RADIO ) connect to those two. So now we have 12v, time to ground it. Cut the BROWN wire from radio and do the same step just like for 12v. ( connect BLACK wire from module to BROWN then BROWN wire FROM radio connect to those two.

5. Time to do Turn Signals. On diagram you'll see that 2 GRAY wires are for turns. Easiest way to connect these is just to remove isolation from hazard jack ( orange and yellow ) and connect 2 GRAYS to them ( 1st GRAY to ORANGE, 2nd GRAY to YELLOW, order don't matter) tape them to secure them and blinking turns are solved.

6. Now the fun part starts. You'll see on central locking switch 5 wires. Order from left to right ( + UNLOCK, - UNLOCK, GROUND, - LOCK, + LOCK )
After searching online which wire is for what, I came across that: BLUE/WHITE and GREEN/WHITE responds as unlock on remote and BLUE and WHITE are responding as locking. So connect them as followed:
+ UNLOCK -> BLUE/WHITE
- UNLOCK -> GREEN/WHITE

- LOCK -> GREEN
+ LOCK -> BLUE
( just remove isolation, connect wires and tape them to secure them )

7.Connect jack to module, connect battery back and test it, it should work.

*** For original radio, the 12v and ground can be found in hazard jack ( check picture below and connect it like in step 3.

Hope it helps, sorry for no pictures but I will do my best to draw some kind a scheme and post it later on to understand it better
