Question Clio SERVICE Light

Have had my Clio since June. The service light has remained on since i have had it. It doesnt turn off whilst driving and doesnt accompany any other lit icons.
The car itself drives fine. Is it just a matter of turning this off to get rid of the SERVICE writing that appears on my dash.
Any ideas how to do it.??

I read somewhere but have not tried it that holding the trip reset down with the ignition on but not starting the engine
for I think it was 30 sec turns it off, another post said disconnecting the battery for 30 min can do it but if you
try this be sure to have your radio codes.

You need to have a diagnostics check carried out as the vehicle has a fault..
