Heat shrink

Hello,can any one please tell me the correct way of using the "Heat Shrink" wire connectors .
I have only ever used the crimp type before?

I have heard of heat shrink insulation but never connectors although I think you can buy a combination unit which is crimp first and then shrink. My neighbour uses the soldering iron and applies heat carefully

Hello,yes its the latter,I had them from Renault in the TDC kit.Clear sleeve with metal ring in centre 2mm wide.Two red bands also.Can you use a drier.

Ideally you need a hot air gun which is like a hair drier but gets much hotter.A lighter will do the job,but obviously you have to be very careful where and how you use it.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

You can also use a blow lamp if you're careful
