Connecting a MP3 player (e.g. Android mobile phone) to Laguna II Radio/CD unit?

The unit in my Laguna is just like that in the picture attached. It's the factory-spec standard radio/CD with an in-dash 6 CD changer. Unfortunately, its manual didn't come with the car.

I'm struggling to trim down my music collection to just 6 audio CDs. So I've been wondering whether I can use an old Android phone as an mp3 player and feed its output to the Laguna's radio/CD.

I can't see any USB or AUX port on the unit. Does it have something behind the scenes I could use?

Probably be easier to get an aftermarket single/double din headunit.

You can get a fairly decent Pioneer single din headunit (no CD, just USB and AUX) for 50 Euro's. It's the one I have in my Clio. Not a bad unit. Double dins are a bit more pricey. Or if you want to DIY, MightyCarMods made a video on something similar. Have a crack over there.

I quite like the aesthetic of the standard unit, so swapping it for an aftermarket one isn't really to my taste. If I really can't plug 'n' play from my phone because it doesn't have a USB or AUX port, I'm just going to have to work harder to prune down my in-car music to 6 CDs (8 hours - approx 120 tracks).

I got one of these in the Kia to play music from my Phone or Ipod......connects to a spare FM channel on the radio

Not top line hifi by any means but works and doesn't distort or crackle.
Cr4p for hands free on the phone though

All sorts of variations on the theme, could be an option ?

That looks like a Class A suggestion, so one will be delivered to me on Thursday or Friday.

Cheers.
