hi, i have a 2005 renault laguna, about every 2 months the air bag light comes on, i have it plugged in and no faults are found, they reconfigure the air bag system and the light go`s out, then a couple of months later its on again, reconfigure it again and its of, i have changed the air bag control unit and the connects under the seats, and they are fine, anyone had this happen and knows about what it could be, thanks
With the seat connectors the wire often breaks just short of the connectors,
and the light often comes on after the seat has been moved by a different
driver or passenger so if you adjust the seat for someone that you rarely carry
then if it's the seat wires that or when someone puts something under the seat
that's when it will winge, can be a utter pain to find as often just feeling under
the seats will put the light out.
Not somthing I have ever had to do but you
have to be careful of building in faults it sounds like
your flat is very intermittent so is going to be hard to find
I wouldn't go to the trouble of removing the seats till you
are sure that is were the fault is, are they using the Renault Clip software to check the faults if not that could
be why they are not getting a fault code.
its being plugged in next week, my mate knows someone who works for renault, so he has the right renault software, i will let you know how i get on, thanks for getting back to me
Sounds like a funky acu, or a grubby acu pins, if know any one with a acu what matches the numbers on the original acu and use a clip to configure then fingers crossed, but don't hold my word for it but that's the first thing ide look at hope it helps
