Now I have never messed with a modern wiper
but years ago it was quite common, the wiper was
live all the time and the switch/relay controls the
earth, but so it can self park once you switch off
the earth a earth is provided via a micro switch
or some device till the wiper is in the park position
it then opens and stops the wiper if this switch is
sticking on the wiper keeps going. In some cases
if the motor is to free running it can free wheel and
reach a point were it starts another cycle and again
keeps going, try just putting a little load on the blade
when it's doing it's thing see if it stops in the right place.
Then again I could be totally wrong in this as Renault
could do it with a box of computers n things.
Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?
If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.
