Scenic II 2004 steering lock fault after engine wash

Hello
I would like please to help me.
First of all I have read similar posts with this problem and I understand that maybe is the steering unit , ecu , under the steering column fault.
I think that in my situation is little different. My steering it is not locked and I can turn it complete left, right even with out the card.
The problem apear after 60km driving about 2 hour after I wash very light without pressure the engine bay i switch the ignition to off and when I try to start the engine after 15 minutes then appear a message steering lock, sometimes steering unlock and didnt start.
Also the strange is that even if the car is complete switch off I hear from engine bay a noise like ,zzzzzzzzzz and the car drain the battery in 30-40 min.
I am almost sure that the main problem is a wiring short circuit in engine bay and not the steering lock ecu .
Also the center lock, unlock didnt work with the card.
Or maybe I have a bad luck and I have 2 faults engine short circuit and steering lock ecu fault.
I search hours and hours in internet to find wiring schematics from my car and didnt find anything.

Water in the electrics ?

Fuse box underbonnet would be a good place to start, sensor connections on engine next.

If you have one of those air dusters or computers or a compressor blow out any water
with that if you unplug any of the connections and it looks damp do the same.

If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.

Re: Scenic II 2004 steering lock fault after engine wash

Some update
I blow all the connections from fuse box and ecu and it was clean no water inside.
I figure that the noise when I connect the battery comes from throttle body ,this one with black plastic.
Also for the steering problem I dissasembly the steering lock unit and probably is fault because I can not hear the relay ,tyco relay on pcb.

You have checked the battery is fully charged, and not had the doors open, or radio on while cleaning
