Have a look in the bottom of the door mirrors - they're usually around there or if its missing there ought to be a hole where it used to be

Bottom of the passenger door mirror on mine the
drivers one just as a hole it looks like a little lump
sticking down you can see it from the drivers seat.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?

If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.

I have had the same problem with mine on my Scenic for ages. Well, to be honest it's not really a problem which is why I haven't bothered to fix it.

Thermocouple is located in the door mirror on the passenger side, but I was told at the Renault garage when I went to enquire about buying a new one that "lots of people manage to break the mirror cover trying to get it off" so I just left it alone.

Maximum temperature I've seen on mine so far is 51 deg C!!
