Clio screen washer **Fixed**

My wife recently mentioned that the screen washer does not work on the car. I had a look and found a loose plug on a cable that runs down the side of the washer bottle neck but I can't find anywhere where it might plug in. Is this the washer motor cable? If so, where does it plug in? (The car has been in for a fusebox replacement recently and its possible that the cable may have been left unplugged, but I can't see why they would have needed to access that side).

I understand that the motors sometimes seize up on these due to an expanding seal. We have had the car some 7 years without any problems until recently. If that plug is not related to the washer motor, then is it likely that the motor has seized?

Thanks.

Your washer motor will have two wires in the connector, not one..
What year is your car, and mark, engine size, petrol, diesel.
Nothing showing in your garage

Specsavers ?

There is two

Orange and black.
Must admit it do look like the pump connector but you will need to get to bottle to find out.
Not sure where best access is on a Clio

re: Clio screen washer **Fixed**

My car is a Clio III, 1.5 diesel, 2007 I believe and yes there are two wires going to that plug, but I didn't say anything about just one? Just to clarify, the cable is running up the washer bottle and the neck and then just dangles free. Is it supposed to be like that (i.e. to connect an optional accessory perhaps) or is it supposed to be connected somewhere? As I mentioned, I don't see anything obvious to plug it in to although one imagines that it must plug in somewhere.

There seems to be no easy way to get to the bottle, although perhaps if I can figure out how to remove the cover inside the wheel arch I might be able to jack it up, remove the wheel and get to the bottle that way. Could anyone tell me how that cover it is attached please?
