I have a 2004 Renault Master and am having some issues with the locks.
Front passenger door won't open or close manually from outside using the key (just keeps spinning in lock). Can lock from inside by pushing the button down on the door itself. This door works fine with the remote central locking buttons to both open and close and with the button in the cab.
Sliding side door will open but not lock manually from outside using the key. Won't rotate in the 'lock' direction but will unlock OK if you jiggle the door handle and turn the key at the same time. This door sometimes works fine with the remote central locking buttons to both open and close and with the button in the cab but other times it's still locked when all the other doors have unlocked and you have to do it manually with the key or occasionally reach over to the inside button to unlock it.
Pretty sure both locks will need the barrels replacing but as we're away traveling in Europe a few more weeks I would like a work around that doesn't involve setting alarms off and upsetting our fellow campers.
1. Can you remote lock without activating the alarm at all?
2. How do I know if I have internal motion sensors as well as door alarms?
3. Will the alarm go off if the ceiling vent or sun roof are left open?
Trying to avoid visiting garages whilst still having a usable camper! Have read the manual but it doesn't make much sense (possibly something lost in translation)
Many thanks in advance
