The Dension models are probably overkill - they can have full iPod control, bluetooth, video handling ....

Fitted the connect2 unit last week, works very well, I fitted it in the center console, took about an hour to fit.

Looking at getting a 4gb sd card for it, should get a boat load of tracks on that.
Can't seem to get an answer from connect2 if the unit is compatable with the SDHC cards or just the SD cards.

All in all not a bad little unit, one minor gripe though , the cable could do with being about 8" longer.

I did make one c@ck up though, I forgot to eject the cd cassette out of the changer before disconnecting it from the head unit, so it's stuck in there with 6 cd's in, Doh .

mp3 to head unit

the c bus adaptor for the older alpine or the AI net adaptor that simply fit into the cd stacker plug, work realy well, as long as u have an aux on your menu, it wont work without an aux on your select menu, i run one off our alpine and the sound is better than the sound from a stacker, its a simple solution and cost me $25.0 for the adaptor, thats about 8 pounds, trying to get one for the Eclipse headunit in the other car but they dont seem to sell them out here yet, just about every other brand is catered for though. having the mp3 input via the stacker plug gives you ery good stereo sound, the cheaper option is for an FM modulator, but that only gives you fm stereo sound same as a radio. using one of these gadgets shouldnt afect the steering wheel control,as once the sound is going thru the cd input, you control the volume by normal head unit volume control
