Central Locking - Renault Clio 91->

Can anyone help with a problem with central locking on a 1991 Renault Clio?

Since I left the interior light on in my Renault Clio and ended up with a flat battery I have had a problem with the central locking. I have managed to jump start the car and charge the battery but ever since I have been unable to unlock the drivers door with the key fob or the key.

The key fob opens the passenger door and boot, which means I am still able to access the car. Each time I want to drive the car I need to open the passenger door and lean through to unlock the drivers door from the inside. Once the door is open I can open and close the door from the exterior up until I lock the doors.

I have tried both keys fobs and keys in the door. It's now getting very frustrating having to enter the car via the passenger door.

Has anyone got any ideas other than taking it to a Renault dealer?

Not sure if it the same i had a 98 clio with same problem. you could try opening all the doors and boot and lock and unlock with key fob 5 times and then same with all the doors shut that worked on mine
