Good morning all, new user here.

We have a Megane Scenic W reg 1.4 16v
It starts and runs for 20 seconds, we then lose the negative feed to the injectors and it stops.

Is it a fault in the main ECU box ie: siemens, sirius32, 5110030048, 8200046162renault.

Is the ECU coded with eight digits as we are told?

Will a s/h set of keys, immobiliser box, ECU injection unit work from a second hand car if we can get it all from one donor car?
or could this be an easily solved problem concerning something else.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Hi Robert

Things can get a little disjointed and confusing with two threads on the same subject, so I've removed your second thread

I'm sure that someone with the info you are looking for will be along soon, but if you don't receive an answer feel free to bump your question by replying to this thread rather than starting a new one

I think the answer to the donor car parts working is yes, just not 100% sure.

Edit: You will need the receiver ring around the ignition switch too AFAIK.

Have you by any chance got someone to check your current set up for any fault codes stored in the ECU ?

Just might flag up something simpler to replace than what you intend. My worry would be that you did all this and found out it was some silly sensor acting up somewhere. Diagnostic should cost around 50 and sometimes your local garage will quickly check for you if you chum him up and he has the equipment.

Unless you already know you have immobiliser problems already. Didn't think it was a problem on cars of your age but could be wrong.
