The bulbs were a not a major brand but were from a local motor factor who hasnt had any other problems with them.
It may have been moisture but again no sign i can see i run the car as a taxi so the lights are on for about eight hours so i would have thought any moisture would have dried out.
I will see how this one from a different batch goes but i am baffled.

Hi, Trebor

In my job I deal with a lot of halogen bulbs and even if you had touched them when fitting that would only lead to early failure (sometimes within minutes) but the only exploding bulbs I have seen were from a rouge importer.

Yes they were brand names but its very easy to print a name on a box if you see what I mean.

Hope you have better luck with your latest one.
