Flat Battery and unable to access via manual Key

I have an 05 Renault Laguna Dynamic. The problem I have is that I cannot access the car by either the remote or the Manual Key.

I have had the AA out and they think that it is just a Flat battery. I have changed the battery in the Key Card and this made no difference.

I have also tried accessing the car using the Manul Key i.e on the passenger side this doesnt work either.

Does anyone know of any other way to either pop the bonnet or ideally get into the car.

Don't know why the emergency key won't work... does anyone know if the emergency key will work if the car is deadlocked??? might be why, but a stupid design if true!

If it is just a flat battery in the car, if you can get to the starter motor from the underneath, you could connect a second battery to the main feed to the starter motor. This should power up the electrics and your key fob will work.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow...

Wanna see what I drive? No pics of the latest Passat, but you can see the Scenic II here and the CB1000R here!
