Clio spanner warning light

Hello everyone l have a renault clio extreme 1149cc 2006
the other day l noticed the spanner light on , also in the info area a small icon like a flame in a pot not sure what it means , when l turn on the engine the ( oil ok )light comes on , maybe someone could help me out ,
not sure if its a service thats needed .

The spanner light usually means the car is due a service. Have a look through the drivers handbook. If you don't have a handbook one in pdf format can be downloaded from the Renault UK website

yep wants a service, mine is on at the moment, if you press the buttons on the windscreen wiper stalk and cycle through you will find that the symbol appears with ----- this means service is due, normally it will display the amount of miles before the service is due, mine zeros out at 1000miles.

Thank you everyone for your help. The small flame , teardrop icon on trip computer was worrying me the most never seen it before , thanks again .
