Hello Thorshammer, your head unit installation instructions should tell you the answer, from memory Pioneer kit is strictly ISO compatable, and believe this or not Renault only is some times (depends on the model) ... most Pioneer units have a jumper or link on the back of the unit.

If you have lost the installation instructions then you can get them from in the downloads/support section.

hope it helps

Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?

the little box of tricks is made by auto leads and comes in two parts the part u need for the model of car or van and then the connection lead from the box to the head unit and the reply to the other post is to keep your memory it is always a good idea to run a seperate 12volt fused cable from your battery to your yellow lead on your head unit this way if any other circit blows a fuse you will always keep your memory and cd placement aslong as you keep your battery charged
