Not sure if this belongs here or in engines.
Bit of an issue with the missus' 2005 1.6 manual Grand Scenic.
She was coming across the motorway last night when "check emmissions" came up on the display, along with the service and engine light.
I've searched other forums for similar and came up with things ranging from the
, plugs and cleanign the flywheel sensor.
I had a drive of it . It seems to be starting fine (tried it about 10 times between last night and today) and driving fine. No misfiring or cylinders not firing. I had it up to 4500 revs so it's not limiting the revs itself.
Any help or advice is much appreciated.
EDIT. Just an udate. The missus had the car with a mechanic friend of her fathers, who in turn rang a guy who is supposedly with a renault dealer who reckons its a clamshell sensor and should cost around €50-60 to get.
However I'm drawing a bit of a blank on this sensor (dotn suppose she got it wrong and its the
sensor?), so again. if anyone can help it'd be great, cheers.
