Clio radio swap

Firstly i'm new to this Forum so hello everyone. my sister in law has purchased a Clio mark 2 Etoile x reg 1.4and as with her other cars i have the role of looking after it. The clio came with a renault radio cassette fitted which has the remote display and steering wheel controls,
The plan is to fit a cd , so i have aquired the renault/phillips radiosat 6000 which i believe should be a straight swap. However the clio also comes with a renault alarm fitted which is the premier TC2-1143/0400, the instructions for this alarm state arming and disarming is via the radio which has made me think i cant swap the radio unless the new one also has the alarm facility built in. Just to cofuse me even more the alarm actualy arms and disarms via the central locking fob which the alarm instructions dont mention.
Anyone Know anymore info on this alarm and radio combination and if the radio can be swapped

Just re-read the alarm instructions several time and i may of answered my own question
When they say arm and disarm with the"Radio Button" i have been thinking they mean the sound system, but do they actualy mean what i would call the remote fob and its just a translation thing

I would tend to agree - I think they mean the "radio transmission button" on the key fob.

I have never heard of Renault using the radio as a means of controlling either the alarm or immobiliser but if I'm wrong someone will correct me
