Electric window

Driver's window won't go up or down but will move if I physically move it. What should I do first before contacting a mechanic. It's a Laguna II V6

Could be a broken motor or simply the wires have chaffed in the door shut. I would begin with checking all the wires are still intact.

I would agree with Scatz - time to strip the door liner for a looksee as it probably a duff window regulator. After-market units are available for around 6
