Windows and steering

Hi all,

Great site by the way!

Although there are several hundred other threads similar, I cannot find one that covers both my problems.

Firstly, my car (54 plate - 26,000 on the clock) failed it's MOT on the steering. 1234 later and this is 'fixed' at the main dealership as my local garage cannot reset the airbag. The car was then not used for a couple of weeks until this weekend. All of a sudden the passenger side window starts to go down of it's own accord and is now stuck down.

Could the 2 be related?

Also, if I'm not happy with the service and keep getting fobbed of at the dealers, where can I go to raise my concerns?

Many thanks.

I wouldn't think that the two would be related,

There's a method for raising the window a couple of inches at a time....I think you pull the fuse and replace it for each two inch increment. Once it's up then you need to reset the window reset.

If that doesn't work, you may need a new regulator

As for complaining about the service, contact RCS
