Does it play a music CD? I have a clicking sound from my SAT NAV for about 2 weeks now, I also tried to change the Male voice to a femle voice at the weekend and got ERROR CD, so I ejected the nav CD and the clicking was worse and constant, so we put it back in to shut it up.
Yesterday I put in a music cd (have a 6 disc below) but I used the sat nav/radio instead thought I would check to see if the ERROR CD was the nav disc or the system, played the disc immediatly, so I let it run whilst driving home.
On arrival it didn't make the awful clicking sound when you turn engine off, MMMMmmmm I thought lets try a voice change, so went into sat nav settings told it to change voice, as usual askes for disc 2 so I took out music CD poped in sat nac disc 2 and waited....... and it loaded female voice ok, works fine no awful clicking sounds and reads sat nav cds ok now.
1st I would try as music disc in, if no joy maybe like a PC it need a power off as in total, maybe either pop it out and pull power lead, or perhaps take off battery lead to cut power completly.
I find with mine it hangs sometimes as in trying to change something in settings and it wont let me so I hit the audio button listern for a while the switch off set, when I switch back on and go to navigation it opens up in the last window it was in i.e settings, so the complete power off may clear its head, but check you have the radio code first other wise problem gets bigger
