Renault Megane 2 - Clock/Head Unit Not Working

I have a Renault Megane Cabriolet (2009) with a Alpine 104BTi head unit.

Over the past week I have noticed each time driving my car that the head unit reset (so lost all preset radio channels and bluethooth connection to mobile) and dashboard clock has become slower. Today while driving, the head unit and clock stopped working completely while I was driving.

Could this be a loose connection for the cables connecting my head unit in which case I can take it to the company that fitted the head unit? Or could it be a more serious problem? Not sure whether to take it to the Renault garage in case they say that they won't touch it since I've replaced the factory fit head unit.

Sorry for the delayed response.

I would definately take it back to the company that fitted the head unit, they carried out the original work so it is down to them to check it and remedy any fault they find.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
