airbag and service light fault

hi there, my clio has got a serv light and a airbag illuminatd on the dashboard. im told you can unplug and reconnect the wires underneath is this correct? also somethinng under the seatbelt ??

ive read the faq and it mentiones soldering, i dont dare do this in my first car let alone any car so would unplugging and reconnection work? without connecting the battery as i dont have a radio code

I beleive there is a plug under the driver's seat that is the cause of this. I lowered my seat all the way down and this happened to me, so I raised the seat again and its never come on since.

In my opinion I would recommend disconnecting the battery before twiddling at the under-seat seat belt connections. Should you inadvertently activate anything not only is there risk of injury but the cost of having to replace either the set-belt tensioner or an air bag would far outweigh the cost (if any) of getting a radio code
