electronics gone haywire, car won't start

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum because as you can guess I have a problem!
I own a Renault megane 1.4 04 an when I went to start the car this morning the electronics started going mad! dashboard went crazy, doors kept locking and unlocking, just about everything happened all except the engine starting! It's the first time anything like this has happened, I was thinking that it might be to do with the battery, any help would be grateful

No modern cars like fluctuating voltages especially Renaults. It sounds very much like your battery has gone belly-up or the battery connections are loose or dirty.
