Parking Sensors - Park Master Isnt Factory-Fit then?

I gather Renault charge about 70+VAT plus Labour for fixing a broken parking sensor (which causes the whole system not to work), so I picked up on eBay what I thought was an amazing purchase, as it was described as Genuine Renault Parking sensors for all Renaults and even the box and instructions were all Renault branded. The part number for this e-Bay-bought 4-sensor box kit from Renault is 77 11 224 385

Alas, the sensors look different to the ones on my Vel Satis and on loads of other Renaults (pre-2006) I've seen, which I assume have factory-fit ones, as opposed to this kit I bought which is aftermarket but still made by Renault?

If anyone can clarify, I'd be so grateful!

Here is a picture of one sensor on my car:

Here are pictures of the PARK MASTER "Genuine Renault" kit I bought, which doesn't look like the sensors on mine and other (pre-2005) Renault owners' cars:

I know this may sound the most retarded question possible, but the sensors are different aren't they? So I assume that even though Renault still cite parts no 77 11 224 385 for the parking sensors, they are aftermarket, 3rd party Cobra Park Master sensors which the Renault dealer installs, but they are NOT the same as the factory ones as per the top picture?

So does anyone know what parts code the original sensors for my car (as per the top picture) would be? I don't reckon any will ever come up on eBay though!

Some months ago I was looking to fit Parking Sensors and I saw some on ebay so i emailed the seller.

It turned out his company fitted his Sensors for some Renault dealers, if a customer wanted a new Renault with sensors, they would get him to fit his sensors.

So you could end up with any company's sensors on a new Renault if all dealers do this.

At the time he was charging around 22 for his Sensor kits.

A problem well stated is a problem half solved !
