megane 2001

Does anyone know where the alarm on my megane hatchback 2001 is situated as i want to disconnect the alarm siren as the alarm keeps going off. I have tried putting the emergency code in but it doesn't move past the first digit. The battery went flat a couple of months ago but i dont think that is the problem. I now have to leave the car unlocked at night because i dont want to keep annoying the neighbours. Can anyone help please.

The flat battery may be a clue to your problem. The alarm system works on the voltage-drop princple so if the battery voltage varies then the alarm will activate. Activate the alarm and walk round the vehicle and trace the source of the sound coming from the alarm siren
