Laguna engine bay wiring loom

Hi there,

I am not a mechanic but am intending to replace my 2000 Laguna's engine bay wiring loom due to an electrical problem.

Could any of you Laguna experts out there give me some advice on this? Is it just an unplug/plug exercise or am i biting off more than i can chew? Will i need to get behind the dashboard for anything or is this a straightforward exercise??

Also, does anyone know where the ECU lives within the car??

Thanks in advance

unfortunatly, Reanult in thier wisdom decided to incorporate additional security functions into the wireing loom of all post 2000 cars.

but since you are pre 2001 you will be OK

best bet is to go to a breakers yard and rip the loom from a donor to see what nasty things they hid in there to make all our lives hell (for those of us who would like to upgrade our cars option pack that is).

ecu lives on the left of the engine, its that silver box mounted onthe wing.
they are not easily swapable between cars. (as they have to be pre-programmed to your car)

contact your local dealership for further details
