clio 1.816v immobiliser got wet

hi the other morning i awoke to water leaking though the sun roof into the immobiliser sensor now the key thobe dosent work the immobiliser ive tried drying it out still nothing ..

ive bin told that this is ecu controlde and cant be fixed any ideas ppl cheers

Hello and welcome to the forum.

If your reciever is damaged beyond repair then they aren't massively expensive new from Renault (around 70 from memory),you'll need the numbers off of the old one to match up a new one though I think.

I suspect that the aerial base is leaking rather then the sunroof,make sure this is sealed before you replace the reciever otherwise you'll be changing it again soon.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
