Laguna starting

Hi, my Laguna II starts sweet as a nut some times and other times it takes two or three attempts before it starts. Doesn't matter if its cold/warm, wet/dry. Its now worn the battery out. Any suggestions

Hi Shellie and welcome to the forum

It could be the Top Dead Centre ( TDC ) sensor that needs a clean. If you do a forum search for " TDC replacement" you will find numerous posts of how to clean it or change it.

I'd start off with cleaning all the metal filings off the tip of the TDC sensor.

Hi, I've had a similar problem with my 51 reg 1.8 Laguna, tracked fault down to engine bay fuse box, by cleaning relay and fuse contacts with spray electrical contact cleaner, fault disappeared ( for approx 12 months at least).
